Oyster Roast

The 2009 oyster roast was a huge success.  There were more than 360 ticket stubs pulled at the door. The Exchange Club served over 400 hotdogs, more than 25 gallons of chili, and 3750 pounds of oysters.

Donations for Prevention of Child Abuse Dinner

The Isle of Palms Exchange Club presented checks to National and area agencies who work towards the Prevention of Child Abuse.  The money was raised in 2007 and 2008 from the Isle of Palms Connector Race for the Child.  The Isle of Palms Exchange Club works with the Mt. Pleasant Exchange Club each year to put the race on. The IOP Connector Race is the 1st Saturday in October of each year.  The 2009 race will be on October 3, 2009.  Go to http://www.ioprun.com/ to sign up.  All profits from the race go towards the Prevention of Child Abuse.  Checks were given out at the IOP Exchange Club on Jan. 22, 2009.  Each check presented was for $2200.  Checks went to:  Haloes, Windward Farms, Dee Norton LowCountry Children's Center, Parent's Anonymous, and the Low Country Orphan Relief Fund.  A check for $700 was presented to the National Exchange Club Foundation for the Prevention of Child Abuse.  The Prevention of Child Abuse is a mission of the National Exchange Club.
